Local Flavours and aromas

Our gastronomy

The local gastronomy is characterized by traditional dishes cooked through the chestnut, as is the case of the tasty chestnut soup, and several dishes using the `brigalhó` this ingredient is a tuber of the `inhame` famili, which has an intermediante flavour between the `inhame` and the potato, usually without any accompaniment, was once the predominant food of the lower financial classes. Although it is also possible to be appreciated in other places, the use of the `pimpineleira root` in gastronomy is much more frequent here.
